Sphinx and Pyramids of Giza
This photo was taken between 1870 – 1875 and is a fairly famous one of the Sphinx– with a guy standing on its head!
Camels in front of the Pyramids
This photo was taken in 1894 and features five camels and their riders in front of several large pyramids (the ones in Giza, of course).
Egyptian lady
This photo was taken between 1890 and 1923 and features a lady in a veil.
Village and camels
This photo was taken between 1880 – 1889 and features a man crouching in front of some water, with an Egyptian village behind him. Also, camels!
Amenhotep & friends
This page was drawn between 1832 – 1844 and features Egyptian figures (mostly different Ramses).
Water-bearers in front of pyramids
This photo was taken between 1870 – 1875 and features three water-carriers in front of the pyramids of Giza, with huge palm tree next to them.
Upper Egyptian Temple
This photo was taken between 1846 – 1849 and features seriously massive statues in the Great Temple of Aboo Simble.
Dancing girl
This photo was taken between 1890 and 1923 and shows a dancing girl in costume, holding an instrument (tambourine?).
Water carriers with child
This photo was taken around 1922 and shows three women carrying water jugs on their heads, with a kid in front of them.
Tourists on camels
This photo was taken around 1906 and shows some Edwardian tourists on camels sightseeing at the pyramids of Giza.
Egyptian Street View
This photo was taken between 1880-1889 and is of Rue Bab el-Vazir in Cairo!
Sphinx and Pyramid
This photo was taken between 1860 – 1929 and shows a group of men with camels at the Great Sphinx with the Pyramids of Giza in the background.
Road in front of the Pyramids of Giza
This photo was taken between 1870 – 1875 and features a small group walking on a road with palm tree and the Pyramids of Giza in the background. Wonderful!
A train of camels
This photo was taken between 1940-1946 and features a team of camels and their owners walking across the desert. This might not actually be in Egypt– without pyramids, it’s hard for me to tell, haha!
Egyptian cafe
This photo was taken circa 1896 and shows some men drinking at an Egyptian cafe.
